Since the first fraternity was chartered at the University of Minnesota in 1874, the Greek community has been an integral part of the fabric and traditions of the campus experience. Over the years, the Greek membership has expanded and contracted but has always been a focal point for student life. Minnesota Greek Alumni Council was established in 2013 to build on the strength of the Greek values and traditions of academics, leadership, service and brotherhood/sisterhood. MGAC is focusing its efforts on the following areas:

  • Support of the four undergrad Greek Council

  • Recruitment

  • Campus Safety and Policing

  • Alumni Engagement and Communication

  • Improved Academic Tracking

  • Advisor/Chapter Leader/House Corporation Involvement

MGAC is a volunteer membership organization of Greek chapters at the University. Dues are based on the number of chapter members and represent nearly all MGAC’s revenues. MGAC appreciates the support of its members:
